ELLENVILLE – Three manufacturing businesses are setting up shop in the Village of Ellenville and they are expected to hire a total of 60 people within six months.

Mayor Jeff Kaplan said the new enterprises will contribute to the economic growth in the village.

“In addition to the jobs, clearly we are excited and we look forward to another vacant space being another vibrant space that will also generate business in other areas of the community,” he said. “We have a restaurant row that is dying for lunch business and it’s hard to have a lunch business in a community that doesn’t have jobs where people, during lunch break, will go out and eat in town.”

North American Apparel, which specializes in screen and digital printing on apparel, is moving into 34 Market Street and is expected to hire six people.

EZ Fast Printing, which is purchasing 46 Canal Street, will specialize in printing, embroidery, banners and decals, is expected to hire between 50 and 60 people within six months.

Matrix New York, Inc. and City Marketing of New York, Inc. which specializes in sales and marketing of specialty gift items, is expected to hire two people within six months.

State Senator Jen Metzger (D, Rosendale) announced the new businesses on Tuesday.
