Shoplifter found to be a state parole absconder

LIBERTY – A 57-year-old Liberty man has been arrested on a warrant from the State Division of Parole violating the terms and conditions of his parole.

David Ward first came to the attention of Village of Liberty Police when he was charged with shoplifting at a North Main Street business. He was given an appearance ticket returnable to town court.

He was also found to be wanted by the State Division of Parole for violating terms and conditions of his parole.

He was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on the parole warrant.
