KINGSTON – Early voting starts around the Hudson Valley and statewide tomorrow (Saturday) and Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan is pledging a safe experience for all who choose to cast their ballots during one of the nine days ahead of election day on November 3.

Ryan said that safety includes the ongoing effort to protect everyone from the coronavirus, but it goes beyond that.

“Our board of elections and working with the whole team including our sheriff, have put a plan in place at all of our early voting sites and our voting sites across the county are all safe and secure from a physical security perspective,” he said. “So, we do have all of those plans and procedures in place and have thought through the likely and the worst-case scenario, God forbid, in terms of what we need to do to keep our polling sites safe.”

Early voting will run from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1 at five different locations around the county.
