NEW WINDSOR – The drivers of the two vehicles involved in a head-on crash on Route 207 in New Windsor are both in stable condition on Thursday morning. An injured child is also recovering.

New Windsor Police said the driver of the Flannigan’s Tree Service truck, Ian Jennings, 25, is in stable condition at Garnet Health in the Town of Wallkill.

The driver of the Washingtonville school bus, Andrew Sanchez, 74, is also in stable condition at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

The six-year-old child who was sitting behind the driver has a deep laceration to the leg and two broken bones.

Police said the truck driver had drifted into the opposite lane of traffic striking the bus.

Seven other children on the bus got off on their own power and were checked at the hospital, police said.
