LIVINGSTON MANOR – One positive COVID-19 case has been identified in the Livingston Manor School District; however, “due to the timing of the onset of symptoms and the last date of the individual being physically present in a district building/vehicle there is no requirement of contact tracing and no additional action is necessary at this time,” Superintendent of Schools John Evans said. That assessment was made to him by the Sullivan County Health Department.

He did not specify if the individual who tested positive was a student or staff member.

“We understand that news like this can be received with mixed emotions from our school community,” Evans said. “Rest assured the safety and health of our students and staff are our top priority.”

He advised that if anyone is exhibiting symptoms of the virus – fever, cough, and shortness of breath – do not go to the emergency room without first contacting your healthcare provider.
