BREWSTER – Two Putnam County road improvement projects have been awarded a total of $2.5 million in state funding.

A total of $1.08 million has been awarded to the Town of Southeast and $1.41 million has been awarded to the Town of Patterson.

The grants will fund roadway improvements for the ongoing Stateline Retail/Restaurant Depot project on Route 6 in Brewster and the Patterson Crossing Retail Center on Route 311.

Both projects will provide “a tremendous boost to the economy on this side of the county, bringing with them a wide array of business activities,” said State Senator Pete Harckham (D, Peekskill), who announced the funding alongside Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D, Yonkers).

“As New York State looks to strengthen its economy, right now and post-pandemic, we will continue to partner with municipalities to foster projects that bring new jobs to the region and increase financial resources for schools and community services,” she said.
