HUDSON VALLEY – State Police in Troop K issued 722 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the October 17 weekend.
From 5 p.m. Friday, October 16 through 3 a.m. Tuesday, October 19 New York State Troopers in Troop K issued tickets for 374 speeding violations, 12 distracted driving violations, one child restraint violation, nine move-over violations, and removed 15 impaired motorists from the roadway.
Troop K includes Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Columbia counties.
State Police in Troop F issued 661 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets and removed 32 motorists for driving while impaired during the October 16 weekend.
From 5 p.m. Friday, October 16, through 5 a.m. Monday, October 19, New York State Troopers in Troop F issued tickets for 225 speeding violations, 16 distracted driving violations, 15 seat belt violations, eight child restraint violations, five move-over violations and responded to 44 vehicle crashes. Troop F includes Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, and Greene counties.
