O&W Station

MIDDLETOWN – The long-vacant O&W Station in Middletown has been on the market by the city for years with no takers. That may change.

There is one enterprise taking a look at it now and Mayor Joseph DeStefano is cautiously optimistic about it.

This was more like an open market, store, distillery operation. It is a cool plan that belongs in an urban setting and they are looking for that old look but whether this is too old because of the condition, we will see,” he said. “But they have brought their engineer back as recently as recently as a few weeks ago.”

The last plan for the burned-out building was for health center offices, but that failed to secure the federal aid needed to make that happen.
