NEWBURGH – The leader of a narcotics conspiracy that was responsible for the distribution of some three kilos of cocaine every 10 days in the First Street and City Terrace corridor of the City of Newburgh, was sentenced on Friday to 13 years in prison.

The sentencing of Edwin Guerrier, also known as “Eddie F,” marked the completion of a long-term investigation by Newburgh City Police, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, Town of Newburgh Police, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Newburgh City Police Chief Arnold “Butch” Amthor said the department “will relentlessly investigate drug dealing organizations that attempt to poison the community through nefarious means.”
