Elmsford driver sentencing for hitting and killing pedestrian

WHITE PLAINS – An Elmsford man has been sentenced in Westchester County Court to two to six years in state prison for hitting and killing a Bronx woman with his car as she crossed the street in front of the Westchester County Center in White Plains in August 2019.

Glen Robinson, 27, pled guilty in January to vehicular manslaughter.

It was 6:30 in the morning when Robinson was driving while intoxicated. Susan Benjamin-Baily was on her way to work and as she crossed the street at the intersection of Tarrytown Road and Central Avenue. Robinson drove his Chevrolet Cruze into her as she crossed the road in front of the Westchester County Center.

The 57-year-old victim died at the hospital.
