POUGHKEEPSIE – Craft Three O Two, located at 302 Main Street in Poughkeepsie has had their license to serve alcohol suspended by the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA).
City of Poughkeepsie police have been summoned to the establishment several times in the past few weeks to break up physical altercations among patrons and, on Friday night, officers responded to reports of “shots fired” in the parking lot near the bar.
Sources have told Mid Hudson News that during each of the previous calls for violence, officers found patrons violating the state’s executive orders regarding facial coverings and social distancing and have reported the observations to the SLA.
Friday night’s gunfire incident took place in the Liberty Street parking lot near the rear entrance to the bar. Police recovered several 9mm shell casings at the scene but were unable to identify suspects. No injuries or arrests were reported.
Police have responded to 18 incidents at the location since August 1. The calls range from a shooting to noise complaints.
On Saturday, SLA officials suspended the establishment’s liquor license, making it illegal to serve or consume alcohol on the premises.
