FORESTBURGH – Sullivan County’s Acting District Attorney Meagan Galligan reports that her office is being joined by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police, along with assistance from other agencies, are actively investigating an apparent homicide in the Town of Forestburgh. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a location on Cold Spring Road at approximately 5:31 PM on September 16, 2020, and found a 74-year-old female who had been fatally shot.
Police have secured the location and the investigation is ongoing.
Galligan said additional details will be provided at a later time.
