Drugs, guns, money seized in Poughkeepsie raid

POUGHKEEPSIE – A raid of the first-floor apartment at 168 North Clinton Street on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of a stolen, .38 caliber handgun, ammunition, nearly 59 grams of a Heroin/Fentanyl compound, more than $2,300 cash, and other articles commonly used in the distribution of controlled substances.  28-year-old Tyquan Francis was taken into custody at the address.

The warrant was executed by members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit, F.B.I. Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, New York State Police VGNET, and the Dutchess County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 168 North Clinton Street, first floor, in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Francis was arrested and charged with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, one felony count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and one felony count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Francis was held pending arraignment.

Police say that the search warrant was executed after an investigation into the sales of controlled substances from that location.
