Dover man arrested on weapons charge issued appearance ticket

LLOYD – Dover resident Michael Bryant, 48, was stopped for traffic violations on Route 9W in Highland.  During the officer’s investigation, it was discovered that Bryant failed to possess a valid driver’s license.  A search of the vehicle led to felony charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Tampering with Evidence, Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.  According to Police Chief James Janso, Bryant was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on October 10, 2020.

Chief Janso announced two other arrests when he released the Bryant information.

28-year-old Victolino Felipe of Poughkeepsie was arrested on September 3 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Route 9W in Highland. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on September 17, 2020.

Town of Ulster resident Richard Perkins Jr. was arrested September 12th and charged with Driving While Intoxicated after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Rt. 44/55 in Highland. The 52-year-old Perkins was released on an appearance ticket and is due in the Town of Lloyd Court on October 15, 2020.
