NEW WINDSOR – Assemblyman Colin Schmitt (R,C,I,LBT,SAM- New Windsor) has been endorsed for reelection by the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) Political Action Committee (PAC) of New York.
The PAC’s statement said “NFIB is the state and the nation’s leading small-business association with thousands of members in New York representing nearly every conceivable type of employer or industry in the state’s economy. The endorsements come from NFIB’s NY PAC, the association’s state political action committee, and are based on positions regarding key small-business issues including taxes, health care, workplace mandates, economic development, and regulatory issues.”
The organization, in explaining their endorsement, said “State legislative incumbents and candidates endorsed by NFIB’s NY PAC have demonstrated their commitment to the small businesses in their communities and will be champions for an economic recovery that starts on the Main Streets across our state.”
Schmitt, upon learning of the endorsement added “It is an honor to have small businesses support my re-election campaign through the NFIB endorsement. My wife Nikki and I know first hand the concerns and needs of small family businesses through our own third-generation family company and I have always worked to put that experience and knowledge to work for our district. I proudly stand with our small businesses, especially doing all I can to assist during the ongoing pandemic which has impacted so many, and will continue to do so when re-elected.”
