BREAKING: Pleasant Valley judge resigning

PLEASANT VALLEY – Republican Town Justice Tom Vasti has submitted his letter of resignation to the Pleasant Valley town board, effective September 21, 2020.

Vasti, an attorney with an office in Pleasant Valley authored his resignation letter on September 8.  It was received by the town clerk on September 11.

Judge Vasti is in the first year of his second four year term.  His term expires in 2023.  The town board is required to name a successor to fill the vacancy.

The judge cited “Personal and health-related issues” as the reasons for his resignation.

Mr. Vasti did not respond to requests seeking comment from Mid Hudson News.
