BEACON – The City of Beacon Police have arrested a suspect in a series of burglaries that occurred in the city over the course of the last month.

On Thursday, Beacon resident Christopher Johnson, age 55, was arrested on one charge of burglary and three counts of attempted burglary after a month-long investigation into the crime spree.

A warrant for Johnson’s arrest for absconding parole was also executed and he was arraigned on all charges and remanded to the custody of the Dutchess County Jail.  A police spokesperson indicated that Johnson may face additional charges when the ongoing investigation is completed.
