CSX to close Cornwall intersection for repairs

CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON – Police Chief Steven Dixon has announced that the intersection of Dock Hill Road and Shore Road will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic beginning Monday, August 31 at 9:00 a.m. as CSX Railroad will be conducting track repair work.  The closure will last through Thursday, September 3, at 9:00 a.m.

According to Chief Dixon, the repair work and repaving at the railroad intersection located at the bottom of Dock Hill Rd and Shore Road will prohibit vehicular and pedestrian traffic seeking access to Donahue Memorial Riverfront Park or the Cornwall Yacht Club through this intersection. Dock Hill Road from Hudson Street to Shore Road will be closed for the duration of repairs.

“Road Closed” barricades/ signage will be posted by CSX Railroad.

Anyone wishing to get to Donahue Memorial Riverfront Park or Cornwall Yacht Club areas will have to utilize the Shore Road, via the River Avenue intersection route to get to the Riverfront.
