CENTRAL VALLEY – Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) announced that he secured $60,000 in state funding for the Central Valley Fire Company for rehabilitation and maintenance in the firehouse.  Skoufis secured this funding through the State and Municipal Facilities Program and the grant will be distributed by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY).

The Central Valley Fire Company is a volunteer-run organization that operates under the Woodbury Fire Department. The Woodbury Fire Department has been protecting and serving residents for over 100 years.

“The Central Valley Fire Company has protected and served the Woodbury community through both everyday circumstances and the most severe ones like Superstorm Sandy, COVID-19, and Tropical Storm Isaias,” said Senator Skoufis.“I’ve always supported these selfless volunteers and will continue to work to get the funding they need and deserve.”
