GOSHEN – Republican Chele Farley, who is seeking to unseat incumbent Sean Patrick Maloney, a Democrat representing the 18th Congressional District, opened a second campaign office in the Village of Goshen Saturday.

“We need to have an office on both sides of the river,” said Farley.  “Orange County represents 50 percent of the district, and the other 50 percent is across the river.” She previously opened a headquarters in Putnam County.

Farley said she is also opening the office to hear from constituents living the 18th District.

“We wanted to make sure it was convenient for people,” she said.

The office is also being manned with a pair of staffers from the Republican National Committee as the party works to get the House of Representatives back into the hands of the GOP.

“The Trump Victory people are doing this because it’s actually important we take back Congress,” said Farley. “They have offices in select places where they think they can flip these seats.”

Scott Smith of Goshen is a third candidate in the race, who will appear on the SAM Party line.
