WASHINGTONVILLE – Assemblyman Colin Schmitt (R,C,I, LBT, SAM-New Windsor)  announced available internship opportunities for local students looking to gain first-hand experience working in a government office.

Assemblyman Colin Schmitt’s District Office in Washingtonville is looking for college and high school students with interest in government, politics, current events, and community involvement for fall semester internship opportunities.

Assemblyman Schmitt said, “Gaining firsthand experience and knowledge in our governmental process and in helping others is invaluable. Whether you are thinking of a career in public service, are looking to give back to the community, or simply gain professional office experience this opportunity is for you. There is nothing better than to help others and I hope you will join our Team!”

With modified education schedules this fall, additional schools may offer class credit for interns.
