MONTICELLO – Sullivan County Partnership President Marc Baez told the county legislature’s economic development committee on Thursday that he is working on a “game-changing project” that involves a software company that pays six-figure salaries.

Baez said the owners of the New York City company have second homes in Sullivan and are familiar with the county.

“They have been working from home throughout this time. They found that working from home the productively level of their employees didn’t go down, and in fact, in some cases went up,” he said. “They are big on work-life balance. They are part of the New York City tech community, big firm; average salaries 130-grand a year.”

Baez indicated they have a site in mind and it opens the door to other like businesses.
