KINGSTON – Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on East Chester Street in the Town of Ulster late on Monday afternoon.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office charged Erica Cavallaro, 39, of Saugerties with two counts of felony drug possession, one count of misdemeanor possession and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Jeffrey Carey, II, 30, of Kingston, was charged with misdemeanors of drug possession and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Following a car stop for driving with a broken windshield and no front license plate, deputies and a K-9 team investigated and found Cavallaro allegedly in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and a digital scale. Carney was found in possession of crack cocaine and he was driving while his license was suspended.
Both were released on appearance tickets.
