NEWBURGH – On Thursday, July 30, Catholic Charities of Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan is partnering with Catholic Charities of New York’s Immigration and Refugee Services to host a food distribution and resources fair in Newburgh. The event will feature a pop-up food pantry and the opportunity for community members to sign-up for immigration consultations and health screenings. Other available resources include census completion support, free bi-lingual NARCAN training, and information about local case management and eviction prevention services. The event is free and open to the public.

The event is taking place from 10 AM – 2 PM at 280 Broadway in Newburgh. Cloth face coverings should be worn at all times and social distancing will be enforced.

In response to the rising food insecurity caused by the pandemic, Catholic Charities has greatly expanded its food programs and food distributions. To date, Catholic Charities has given away well over 500,000 meals across the archdiocese.
