NEW CITY – Robert Williams III, the man accused of killing Kathleen and Wanda cantor in Valley Cottage on May 26 has been indicted on two murder charges.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh II said it is alleged that Williams, 32, of Spring Valley, fatally shot Wanda Castor, 63, and her daughter, Kathleen Castor, 27, in a residence at 104 Lake Road.

The younger woman’s one-month-old baby was left in the apartment alive and unharmed.

Williams was also charged with violating an order of protection by sending Kathleen Castor a threatening text message and another incident where he displayed a gun, putting her fear of physical injury and death.

The indictment charges Williams with two counts of murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal contempt. He was arraigned on Friday and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

“There is no answer as to why this tragic incident happened, there is no bringing the victims back, Kathleen and Wanda Castor, and there is no way to put into words what impact this will have on baby Anastasia” said Walsh. “All that we can do as a community is ensure that justice is served and that we do what’s best for baby Anastasia.”
