POUGHKEEPSIE – Poughkeepsie firefighters were dispatched to 61 Fountain Place for a garage fire on Monday around 2:45 p.m.
The first responders arrived and quickly went to work extinguishing the fire at the corner of a detached garage, adjoining a privacy fence to the neighboring yard.
The fire was said to be accidental in nature, according to firefighters at the scene.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported and firefighters kept hydrated as the air temperature hovered near 95 degrees. The City of Poughkeepsie Police assisted at the scene along with Mobile Life Support Services.
