HARRIS – The Center for Discovery in Harris has been awarded $1 million from the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund. Those monies will be used to support the center’s work and patients in their COVID-19 response and allow the center to continue their health care and education services for people with special needs.

The center is a leading provider of healthcare and education services for more than 1,200 children and adults with complex conditions, medical frailties, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

“These stimulus funds are critical for The Center for Discovery as we try and recoup the enormous expenses we have faced during this devastating pandemic,” said Patrick Dollard, president and CEO of the center.

The funding was announced by Senator Charles Schumer and Congressman Antonio Delgado, both Democrats.
