RHINEBECK – Dutchess County Fair President/CEO Andy Imperati has announced that Faith Shultz was chosen to receive the Dutchess County Agricultural Society (DCAS) scholarship.

Shultz, of Millbrook, was selected to receive the $8,000 scholarship. Faith will be attending Dutchess Community College with a transfer to SUNY Cobleskill.  She will be pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business Management with a minor in Agricultural Education.

“We continue to support our youth who choose to pursue a career in agriculture or a career related to agriculture or horticulture,” stated Tom Angell, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee.

Scholarship applicants were evaluated by a scholarship committee and scored in a variety of areas including Dutchess County Fair participation, grade point average, community involvement, and leadership roles.

In June, Imperati announced that the Dutchess County Fair would not take place this year.  Details can be found here. The scholarship is funded through the generosity of the Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc., a 501c(3) non-profit organization.
