WASHINGTON – Three health providing agencies in the Hudson Valley will receive a total of over $1 million to provide additional telehealth services affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The grants were administered through the Federal Communication Commission’s COVID-19 Telehealth Program funded through the CARES Act.

Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Center will receive $342,449; Mental Health Association of Rockland will receive $69,636; and New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital will receive $713,611.

The funding will be used to purchase telehealth devices and equipment that will help expand patient accessibility to remove health care across the region.

The funding was announced by Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
