Police ID latest Kingston murder victim

KINGSTON – Police in Kingston have identified the victim of the July 11 fatal shooting in the city as Romero Underwood, 47, of 52 St. James Street.

City police believe he was the intended target of the crime.

Kingston Police are working with State Police, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, and investigators from the DA’s office to investigate this latest murder.

Police are also working with other agencies investigating the Myron Moye homicide from November 2019 and the Daniel Thomas homicide from October 2019, as well as several recent shootings.

The Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for this latest murder. Anyone with information is asked to call Kingston Police at 845-3311-1671 or the anonymous tipline at 845-331-4499.
