CORNWALL – An off-duty Ramapo Town Police officer who lives in Cornwall shot and killed his neighbor during a dispute, Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said.
The incident occurred at 151 Main Street in Cornwall at around 11 p.m. Monday.
What led up to the shooting was not immediately known.
State Police are assisting Cornwall Police in the investigation and Hoovler said no charges have been filed pending a grand jury investigation.
