KINGSTON – Project Resilience, Ulster County’s effort to provide food for those in need because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, is continuing thanks to the many volunteers, food banks, and donations that continue to pour in.

County Executive Patrick Ryan said the program has delivered thousands of meals for those who are out of work or cannot otherwise put food on the table.

“We have now delivered 259,769 meals delivered and provided to residents of the county. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this. We still have dozens, if not hundreds of volunteers our there, bring food to folks or setting it up at pickup sites,” he said.

The program was created by Ryan earlier in the pandemic to assist those who need a helping hand during these troubled times.
