TAGHKANIC – State Police have arrested a 75-year-old Taghkanic man on a charge of attempted murder in connection with a domestic incident.
Troopers said at around 3:45 p.m. on July 3, Joseph Macri attempted to drown a victim in a pond on the property at Sopak Road in the Town of Taghkanic.
He complied with commands from the officers and was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Macri was arraigned virtually before City of Hudson Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
