NEW YORK – Fireworks are illegal in New York as Governor Cuomo reminded residents on Monday.
They may not be sold or used in New York, although they are purchased elsewhere and for Orange County, they are pretty accessible given the western portion is adjacent to Pennsylvania.
“The primary supplier for New York State is the State of Pennsylvania – not the state itself but fireworks companies within the State of Pennsylvania, and we are going to be focusing on that route for that transmission of the fireworks,” he said.
Pike County, Pennsylvania fireworks companies have been known to aim their advertisements toward Orange County residents.
