WAWARSING – A 16-year-old Ellenville resident was killed Friday afternoon in a one-car crash on Ulster Heights Road in the area of Geiger Road in the Town of Wawarsing.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office reports Aleksander Rezemieniecki was driving a 2003 BMW around 3:20 p.m. when the vehicle drifted off the road into a ditch, struck a tree stump and overturned in a wooded area.
A motorist discovered the accident and found the driver unconscious and trapped inside. Ellenville Rescue responded to the scene and found Rezemieniecki dead.
He was wearing a seatbelt.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by State Police, the Ellenville Fire Department and Ellenville Rescue Squad.
