OSSINING – A 52-year-old Ossining man has been charged for the second time in two months with endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly approaching young girls and attempting to get them into his SUV.

Ossining Police said Jorge Denis allegedly approached the children in the area of Spring Street and Broad Avenue on Wednesday. Police located the vehicle quickly and the 15-year-old girl who reported the incident confirmed that was the man who tried to get her into his vehicle.

After being interviewed, Denis was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said he is the same man who was arrested for a similar incident last month involving a 14-year-old girl. In that case he was released on his own recognizance as per state law.

He was released again on his own recognizance following this past Wednesday’s arrest.
