Police release name of bicyclist killed in collision with SUV

GOSHEN – Police have released the name of the man struck and killed by an SUV as he rode his bike on Craigville Road in the Town of Goshen Wednesday afternoon.

Peter Cotsis, 62, of Chester, was peddling eastbound on Craigville Road, the same direction as the moor vehicle when the accident occurred. State Police are continuing to investigate the cause.

Goshen Town Police said Cotsis was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 p.m.

The driver of the SUV was identified as Baruch Nurit, 38, of Brooklyn. She was not injured and no charges have been filed, police said.
