TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A three-vehicle pileup on Interstate 84 in the Winona Lake area of the Town of Newburgh Tuesday afternoon resulted in one death, police said.
The crash occurred on the eastbound highway in the area of exit-36-A near Route 52.
Winona Lake Fire Department was dispatched to attend to the injured. State Police uniform and BCI are investigating the cause. Town of Newburgh EMS was also on the scene.
Eastbound traffic was backed up for miles during the investigation.
