GOSHEN – The Back the Blue-Orange County Law Enforcement Appreciation Rally, which was scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 at the entrance of the Orange County Courthouse in Goshen, has been canceled.

The purpose of the rally was to show support for law enforcement in Orange County and unify the community. After careful contemplation, the organizers of the event decided not to hold the rally in the interest of public safety.

GOSHEN – A “Back the Blue – Orange County Law Enforcement Appreciation Rally” will be held tomorrow – Wednesday, June 24 – in front of the Orange County Courthouse in Goshen.

Organizers say the rally, at 6 p.m., is to recognize “the positive impact that law enforcement officers have on the daily lives of Orange County residents and to show our support and appreciation for the members of law enforcement that live and work here.”

The show of support comes following the recent negative incidents involving police officers around the country.

Social distancing and facial coverings are encouraged for those attending the rally.
