Saugerties man charged with criminal mischief

SAUGERTIES – A 38-year-old Town of Saugerties man has been arrested on a charged of criminal mischief for damaging a staff member’s vehicle at the Anderson School for Austism on Fortune Avenue Road.

The victim told police that one of his clients, Robert Guarino, had damaged his car. The victim said the man threw a rock at his car and then threw another one fracturing the windshield.

The victim said Guarino had damaged his vehicle after getting angry when asked to put on a face mask inside his home.

Guarino was taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor of criminal mischief. He was released on an appearance ticket.
