He was arrested in Maryland, waived extradition and was transported back to Orangetown Wednesday night.

District Attorney Thomas Walsh commended “the hard work and dedication of the men and women in the Orangetown Police Department in apprehending Jason Jabouin for the killing of Ryan Franklin.”

The DA said, “Rest assured, justice ill be served, and we will ensure that the safety and security of Rockland County remains my office’s top propriety. Our community can’t allow the senseless killing of a young man to become commonplace. We should not, and will not, stand for that.”

Chief ADA Patrick Frawley and First ADA Dominic Crispino represented the people at the arraignment and will prosecute the case against Jabouin.
