ALBANY – Summer day camps will be allowed to open around the state on June 29, Governor Cuomo announced on Tuesday.

He provided no details during his daily COVID-19 briefing.

He did say, however, that his administration is reviewing sleep-away camps. They have been a big concern since the pandemic struck because of worries that the virus could spread in situations like those.

Counties and local municipalities around the Hudson Valley and Catskills are waiting for word on those camps, which are abundant in the region every summer.
