POUGHKEEPSIE – Arthur May Redevelopment LLC has applied to the Dutchess County Industrial Agency for financial incentives for its $69.7 million project for construction and re-development of 25 and 31 Raymond Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

The company wants to convert the former Arthur S. May School in the Arlington Central School District into a mixed-use project including approximately 187 residential units, 18,000 square feet of commercial space and a hotel.

The company has applied for a mortgage tax exemption, sales tax exemption on building materials and a payment-in-lieu-of taxes plan.

A preliminary resolution will come before the Dutchess County IDA at a special meeting on Thursday.
