ALBANY – People in New York will now be able to get to the root of the problem as the governor gave the okay for dentists to resume their practices Monday.

They had been shut down by the coronavirus with the exception of emergencies, but the governor announced on Sunday that they may now resume full practice but must observe the new COVID-19 protocols.

For years, dentists have been wearing masks and rubber gloves when working on patients.

New guidance was to be issued to dentists to follow.
