SAUGERTIES – An 86-year-old woman who was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion crashed her car into a house early Tuesday afternoon, Saugerties Police said.
Investigation found that Joan Robinson of Saugerties had just left the drive-through at the Sawyer Bank on Market Street when she lost control and the vehicle darted across Market Street and into the house.
Both the car and the house were damaged.
Robinson was treated at the scene by paramedics from Diaz Ambulance and then transported to Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus in Kingston for further evaluation.
The Saugerties Fire Department and building inspected assisted at the scene.
