HAMLET OF WALLKILL – The Wallkill Lions Club ARE hosting a Drive-Through BBQ on Memorial Day from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. at Popp’s Pavilion located next to Stewart’s Shop on Route 208 in Wallkill.

All proceeds will go to the Wallkill Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.  The pantry reports a significant spike in demand due to the current needs in the community.

Customers can pull into the parking lot, place their order and make their donation and be guided into a lane where volunteers will bring the prepared and packaged food to the car so no one needs to leave their vehicles.

Volunteers will all be maintaining social distancing as per state guidelines and will be wearing gloves and masks.  The menu will consist of either an all-beef burger, breaded chicken patty sandwich, Quaker Creek smoked kielbasa sandwich, Quaker Creek premium hot dog or Quaker Creek Italian Sausage sandwich.

Each order will include french fries and coleslaw.  Donations are $10 per meal.  The Lions hope to sell about 700 meals in total.

TAPS will be performed on site at 2 p.m.

There is no pre-ordering, but questions can be directed by text or call to Sal Patella at (914) 213-3063.
