WASHINGTONVILLE – Washingtonville Police Department are monitoring the illegal use of dirt bikes and ATVs on village roadways.
Recently they impounded a dirt bike and cited the operator with numerous summonses. The dirt bike was being driven illegally and recklessly on village roadways.
WPD continually monitors ATVs and dirt bikes that are being driven on village roadways illegally.
Police said over the last several weeks, they received numerous complaints about ATVs and dirt bikes being operated on local roadways.
Authorities said the safety of local residents is a priority and they are doing everything they can to encourage safe operation on village roadways.
