KINGSTON – The Mid-Hudson Valley is heading in the right direction to implement phase one of reopening the economy, Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan said Tuesday.

Governor Cuomo has listed seven metrics to be met by a region before it can start the process and Ryan said this region is almost there.

“What I will say is that although the region as of (Tuesday) is not ready in seven criteria, we are definitely headed in the right direction, not just in the county, but in the region,” he said.

The region includes Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam counties.  The criteria can be monitored on the state’s dashboard at https://forward.ny.gov/regional-monitoring-dashboard.
