MID-HUDSON – Recently, it has been reported in New York, that Coronavirus is possibly linked with a Multi-system Hyper Inflammatory Response Syndrome disease in children.
Seek care immediately if your child has:
- a prolonged fever lasting more than 5 days
- difficulty feeding or is too sick to drink fluids
- severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting
- change in skin color that becomes pale, patchy or blue
- trouble breathing or is breathing very rapidly
- racing heart or chest pain
- decreased amount or frequency of urine
- lethargy, irritability or confusion
If your child has these symptoms of COVID-19 Multi-system Hyper Inflammatory Response Syndrome, call your doctor for instructions or in an emergency call 911.
