COVID-19 death toll continues to rise

HUDSON VALLEY – The number of people in the Hudson Valley/Catskills to have succumbed to the coronavirus has reached 1,998, according to state and local information.

Half of those who have passed – 1,067 – lived in Westchester County.

Rockland County has lost 408 residents.

A total of 335 people have died in Orange County as of Saturday’s reporting.

Seventy-three people lost their lives in Dutchess County.

Putnam County lost 45 residents while 42 people died in Ulster County.

Sullivan and Columbia counties each lost 15 residents.

Three people have passed in Greene County.
